A former skinhead back in Italy in the 1980’s, Angelo Sindaco returns to the past with his camera to immortalize one of the most ‘esoteric’ tribes of recent times. ‘Skinstreet’ is the last book by the photographer made around Europe and the United States showing the skinhead cult as it is now.
Angelo Sindaco started collaborating in 1990 with the seminal art punk magazine Frigidaire as a cartoonist. Since then he got involved in the early skate, punk and hip hop scene as a designer and dj-producer. He also worked as a fashion consultant for the Italian brand Meltin Pot.
Working as the Creative Director in collaboration with fashion photographers, he started taking backstage pictures and video footage. In 2004 Angelo begins his collaboration with Rodeo and Vice magazines as a contributor photographer, mixing his skills in taking pictures and manipulating them.
